The New Orford String Quartet is made up of leading Canadian orchestral principals and soloists who reunite regularly to perform together, and The Toronto Star has called their playing “nothing short of electrifying.” The group has won a Juno Award for Best Classical Album and two Opus Awards for Concert of the Year. James Ehnes has performed with orchestras including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and holds twelve Juno Awards, the most of any classical musician in history, along with two Grammys and three Gramophone Awards. In 2026 he embarks on a 50th birthday recital tour across every Canadian province and territory.
