Coachings begin in November 2026, giving your group time to get acquainted, establish a regular rehearsal schedule, and prepare repertoire before your first coaching. The SCMS team will work with your group to schedule 12 hours of coaching (typically in 90–120 minute sessions) over the course of the nine-month program. Coachings can be scheduled close together or spread throughout the year—whatever works best for your group’s availability. This flexible schedule is designed to fit around busy lives, making it possible to enjoy chamber music while balancing work, travel, family commitments, and practice time.

Rehearsals are scheduled independently by each group. You’re welcome to rehearse at SCMS whenever space and staff availability allow. Otherwise, many groups choose to rehearse in a member’s home or another mutually convenient location.

Yes! All Adult Chamber Players members are automatically enrolled in Chamber Club.

If you’re new to Seattle, returning to chamber music after some time away, or simply looking to expand your musical community, Chamber Club is a great place to start. Throughout the year, SCMS hosts sight-reading parties and other informal gatherings designed to help musicians meet one another, explore repertoire together, and form chamber groups.

No. Participation in the Community Recital is completely optional and is up to you and your group. It is simply an opportunity to share your work with friends, family, and the SCMS community if you’d like to perform.
