Master Class

Master Class Overview

Local music students get the opportunity to learn from Festival musicians through our Master Classes. Classical music has a long tradition of performers and instructors working with younger students to delve into a piece of music and approach it from a different perspective.
In 2018, SCMS offered 8 Master Classes to students aged 10-25, in high school classrooms, university classes, and summer music programs. When possible, these events are open to the general public. Check back for details about upcoming events where you can witness our masterful Festival musicians imparting their knowledge to eager young musicians.
