Violin
A laureate of both the Louis Spohr and Il Piccolo Violino 2016 International Violin Competitions, 14-year-old Marley Erickson has appeared as soloist with orchestras on both sides of the Atlantic.  She was selected as a student artist for the 2017 Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at the Juilliard School, and by invitation of the Kronberg Academy, was a participant in the 2017 Chamber Music Workshop "Mit Musik- Miteinander.”  She has performed a series of concerts in Northern Italy, and produced and performed a full concert program at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts which included the world premiere of Canto I by Jerry Mader.  At the invitation of composer John Adams, Marley performed the US premiere of Òscar Colomina i Bosch’s Shpigl on the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Green Umbrella Series at Disney Hall to critical acclaim.  She is the 2017 junior division winner of KING FM's Young Artist Competition, and has twice won the Seattle Symphony’s Young Artist Competition.  Marley studies with Simon James and collaborative pianist Hiro David.
