Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, Kristian grew up in a family of musicians and was surrounded by music from a very early age. He was exposed to a variety of world music styles: Bulgarian folk, Classical, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary Jazz. Recognizing Kristian’s talent, his parents enrolled him in piano lessons at the age of four. At six years of age, Kristian was accepted into the prestigious L. Pipkov School of Musich where he completed his musical education, twelve year of training as a pianist and percussionist. Kristian toured much of Europe by the age of nineteen. Since moving to Canada in 1995, Kristian has been active in the Canadian music scene, as a composer, performer, producer and studio musician.
