During this year’s GiveBIG campaign of community philanthropy, Seattle Chamber Music Society raised vital operating funds for our current, 40th season of chamber music festivals and programs for the community.
With a $9,000 matching gift challenge from two anonymous donors, we started on April 20, GiveBIG’s opening day of “early giving,” and our generous community helped us meet our match in the first 48 hours.
Three more matching gift challenges from longtime patrons John Delo and Elizabeth Stokes, Lyn and Jerry Grinstein and board member Jean B. Viereck helped us to attract our largest community response since we began participating in GiveBIG. By midnight on May 5, 110 donor households had collectively given $63,500.
100% of funds from GiveBIG will directly support our current season of artistic programming, including our upcoming Online Summer Festival. The 12 concerts, featuring our double-Grammy award-winning artistic director James Ehnes and 29 other world-class musicians, will stream online July 17 to September 13, along with our other artistic programs:
Our 2021 season filled with magnificent Festival concerts filmed inside the new Center for Chamber Music
Free Open Rehearsals
Free Classical Conversation series
Our springtime chamber music lecture series, Works by Women
We are grateful for the generosity of our community of chamber music donors!
If you missed the GiveBIG campaign but wish to support our 2021 Season, giving is secure and easy here.
