Our winter festival Family Concert,
Musical Tales, features popular children’s stories paired with well-known classical music, arranged for string quartet. This 40-minute concert is ideal for children ages 5-10, and their parents and grandparents.
The program includes:
- Goodnight Moon (Claude Debussy’s Claire de Lune)
- Ferdinand the Bull (Georges Bizet’s Carmen)
- Pecos Bill (Aaron Copland’s Rodeo)
- Tales from the Arabian Nights (Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherezade)
- Custard the Cowardly Dragon (Mozart “Little” Symphony No. 25 in G minor, K. 183)
Musicians are:
- Michael Jinsoo Lim, violin
- Adrianna Hulscher, violin
- Mara Gearman, viola
- Paige Stockley Lerner, cello
- Marta Zekan, narrator
