Your Concert Experience
Here’s what you can expect when you arrive at Benaroya Hall:
- Intermissions: Most concerts will have a 20-minute intermission
- Box Office: The Box Office opens 90 minutes prior to showtime
- Jimmy's Corner Store: Our merchandise table, Jimmy's Corner Store, opens 90 minutes prior to showtime
- Coats: The coat rack and hangers are available for every concert on the second level of Benaroya Hall in the Nordstrom Recital Hall lobby.
- Virtual Concert Hall: Can't make it to the concert? You also have the option to livestream from the best seats in your house through the Virtual Concert Hall for all festival concerts. Visit www.seattlechambermusic.org to learn more.

Accessibility
SCMS is committed to ensuring accessibility for all visitors. Requests for accommodations should be made when purchasing tickets. Feedback on improving patron services for people with disabilities is always welcome. Here are some of Benaroya Hall’s accessibility features:
- Barrier-Free: Benaroya Hall is barrier-free and meets or exceeds all criteria established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Special Seating: Special seating areas with excellent acoustics and sight lines to the stage available at all levels in both concert auditoriums.
- Elevators: Elevators with Braille signage to all levels within the Hall, including the parking garage.
- Designated Parking: Designated parking spaces in the Benaroya Hall parking garage adjacent to elevators.
- Visual Impairment: International symbols to identify facilities to people with visual impairments.
- Restrooms: Restrooms properly equipped for people with disabilities. A unisex restroom is also available for disabled patrons needing assistance.
- Concessions and Box Office: Concession bars, Box Office, and drinking fountains meet ADA requirements.
- Special Entry Provisions: Special entry provisions, including dressing rooms and production control rooms, to accommodate performers and technicians with disabilities.
- Trained Personnel: Trained personnel to assist patrons with disabilities.
- Service Animals: Service animals welcome.
Services For Hard-Of-Hearing Patrons
An infrared hearing system is available for patrons who are hard of hearing. Headsets are available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis in The Boeing Company Gallery coat check and the Head Usher stations in both lobbies.
Parking
Benaroya Hall lies in the heart of downtown Seattle. It occupies the entire block between Second and Third avenues, and Union and University streets. The public entrance to the Hall is along Third Avenue. The parking garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Location: Enter the garage on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Prepaid Parking: SCMS has parking available for sale in Benaroya Hall’s garage (entrance at 2nd Ave. and Union St.). Spaces are limited and will are first come, first serve. Parking passes may be purchased by calling our Box Office at 206.283.8808 or on our website at www.seattlechambermusic.org.
- Vehicle Height Limit: The maximum vehicle height is 6 feet, 8 inches.
- Electric Vehicles: Chargepoint charging stations are available for electric vehicles.
- Entry: Please note that entry from the garage into Benaroya Hall will be restricted to the 3rd Avenue elevators. The Artists Entrance is closed to patrons and non-musicians.
- Additional Parking: Additional parking is available at and Russell Investments Center (entrance on Union St., between 1st and 2nd Ave.) and other nearby lots. Rates will vary.
Driving Directions
Benaroya Hall, 200 University Street • Seattle, WA 98101
- Southbound I-5: Take the Union Street exit (#165B). Continue onto Union Street and proceed approximately five blocks to Second Avenue. Turn left onto Second Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Northbound I-5: Exit left onto Seneca Street (exit #165). Proceed two blocks and turn right onto Fourth Avenue. Continue two blocks. Turn left onto Union Street. Continue two blocks. Turn left onto Second Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Northbound I-5 via Westbound I-90: Take the 2C exit for I-5 North. Follow signs for Madison Street/Convention Place and merge right onto Seventh Avenue. Turn left onto Madison Street. Proceed three blocks and turn right onto Fourth Avenue. Continue four blocks. Turn left onto Union Street. Continue two blocks. Turn left onto Second Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Southbound Highway 99 (Aurora Avenue): Take the Denny Way/Downtown exit. Keep right and cross over Denny Way onto Wall Street. Proceed approximately five blocks and turn left onto Second Avenue. Continue south on Second Avenue approximately eight blocks. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your left. The garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Northbound Highway 99 (Aurora Avenue): Take the Seneca Street exit and move into the left lane. Turn left onto First Avenue and proceed one block. Take the next right (at the Hammering Man sculpture) onto University Street. Continue up the hill two blocks to Third Avenue. Turn left onto Third Avenue, and left again at the next block onto Union Street. Make the next left onto Second Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on Second Avenue, just south of Union Street.
- Public Transportation: Benaroya Hall is served by numerous bus routes. For details, visit Metro online or call Metro Rider Information at 206.553.3000, or Metro Accessible Services at 206.263.3113. - The Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel runs underneath Third Avenue. The University Street Station has entrances in Benaroya Hall, Cobb Building garage and 1201 Third Avenue building. In addition, traffic on Third Avenue is restricted to vehicles traveling only one block before turning between 6am and 9am and between 3pm and 6:30pm, weekdays.
- Parking is available at Benaroya Hall, the entrance is located on Second Avenue. Parking at the hall can be limited due to other scheduled events occurring at the hall. There are several other garages in the area. It should be noted that some of these other parking garages only accept credit or debit cards for payment.
