Behold the Bold Umbrellaphant
Delight in the musical language of poetry with the first ever US Children's Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky's reading from his collection of humorous verses, with musical accompaniment for chamber ensemble by Lucas Richman. Meet the whimsical and imaginative Bold Umbrellaphant, the Bizarre Alarmadillos, Ballpoint Penguins, Pop-up Toadsters, Clocktopus, Trumpetoos, and Tubaboons. Jack has published over 70 books of poetry, and his combined works have sold over a million copies and been translated into many languages. Ideally suited for children ages 5-10, their parents, and grandparents. FREE Pre-Concert Activity! All tickets holders may join us for a musical instrument "petting zoo" in the lobby at 10:00 am, courtesy of Music Center of the Northwest.
