Chamber Music in the Park – Saturday, July 28, 7:00pm — Free

Chamber Music in the Park_2

As part of our Summer Festival, we offer a free outdoor concert at Volunteer Park featuring Festival artists. Come enjoy a beautiful Seattle summer evening with thrilling music and fun activities for the whole family. This popular event is perfect for music lovers of all ages!

These concerts feature some of the greatest chamber music classics in a fun and inviting setting. Pack a picnic dinner, or stop by the food truck and order something right there, stretch out on the lawn at the park, and enjoy some beautiful music as we wrap-up the 2018 Summer Festival.

This summer, you will hear two iconic works played by our Summer Festival musicians:

          Anton Arensky
String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 35

          Johannes Brahms
String Quintet in G Major, Op. 111

Join us for our Community Strings “Play Along,” before the main concert, at 6pm. Be part of our ensemble by joining our Festival musicians and perform Mozart’s Serenade in G Major, K. 525, “Eine kleine Nachtmusik.” The performance will take place at the Volunteer Park Amphitheater. Registration is now open. When you sign up you will receive a link for your sheet music to download (violins will be assigned part I or II).
