Tessa Lark
Violin

Violinist Tessa Lark, recipient of a 2018 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, received a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant. She was a Silver Medalist of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, and winner of the 2012 Naumburg International Violin Competition. She has performed at many summer festivals including Marlboro, Yellow Barn, Steans Institute for Young Artists at the Ravinia Festival, and Music@Menlo, and she is a member of the Caramoor Virtusoi. Lark has been a soloist with the Seattle, Cincinnati, New Haven, Hawaii, Santa Fe, and Indianapolis symphony orchestras. Lark regularly performs and programs bluegrass and Appalachian music, premiering her own pieces as part of a Carnegie Hall recital. She is a graduate of New England Conservatory and completed her Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School. Lark plays a ca. 1600 G.P. Maggini violin on loan from an anonymous donor through the Stradivari Society of Chicago.
