Charlotte Marckx, 13, studies with Simon James, Jan Coleman and Hiro David. This year, Charlotte was the youngest competitor at the Johansen International Competition, and one of four from around the world to advance to the final round. She won the KING FM Young Artist Award, Monika Meyer Clowes Memorial Award, Seattle Young Artists Competition, and soloed with the Seattle Festival Orchestra and Philharmonia Northwest. This fall, Charlotte appeared on NPR’s From the Top radio program, and also at their annual fundraising Gala in Boston. Charlotte loves to fiddle, performing alongside her sister in their duo, Sempre Sisters.
