Bring your own lunch, or purchase one from Puck’s Cafe in the lobby downstairs on weekdays, and join us for these fascinating 45-minute talks, as musical expert Steven Lowe highlights some of the less familiar pieces from each week’s programs during our Summer Festival in Seattle. Each lecture takes place in the upstairs lobby of Nordstrom Recital Hall and will be followed by an open rehearsal in the hall. PLEASE NOTE: Rehearsals start on time but may finish early. Please plan to arrive on time and be attentive to the musicians.

Musical Expert Steven Lowe presents a 45-minute pre-concert lecture on the programs for our Summer Festival on the Eastside, using recorded musical examples to touch on lesser-known works. Enjoy Steve’s lecture while dining, then catch the pre-concert recital at 7:00 PM, or take some time to relax before attending the main concert at 8:00 PM.

ABOUT STEVEN LOWE
Steven Lowe is the program notes writer for Seattle Chamber Music Society. The former Public Information Specialist for Seattle Symphony, he is a popular lecturer and instructor in classical music history for numerous arts, educational, and community organizations. Steve has also contributed to musical journals including High Fidelity/Musical America, Stereo Quarterly, Keynote and Classical magazines, and has written for The Los Angeles Times.
