Dave is a Seattle cellist and host/producer at 94.9 KUOW Public Radio in Seattle. The podcast was recorded with a live audience on Feb. 2, 2012 in Soundbridge at Benaroya Hall, Seattle. James Ehnes and Dave Beck provide in-depth commentary and musical conversation about the three Brahms String Quartets, Bartok's fourth String Quartet, and Dvorak's Bagatelles for Two Violins, Cello and Harmonium, Op. 47. All musical examples are from performances recorded during the 2012 Winter Festival - Feb. 2-5 at Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall in Benaroya Hall. The featured performers are James Ehnes, Amy Schwartz Moretti, Richard O'Neill, Robert deMaine (Brahms and Bartok String Quartets) and Scott Yoo, James Ehnes, Bion Tsang, Andrew Armstrong (Dvorak Bagatelles).
