Amy Schwartz Moretti has performed extensively as a chamber musician throughout her career. Recent collaborations include performances with artists Lynn Harrell, Elmar Oliveira, David Shifrin, Robert McDuffie, and members of the Guarneri String Quartet, Emerson String Quartet and Díaz String Trio. In recent years, she has appeared in numerous concerts and instrumental combinations at the music festivals of Aspen, Seattle, Brevard, Amelia Island, Rome, and Chamber Music Northwest. She regularly performs as a member of the Georgian Chamber Players in Atlanta; the Moretti Duo with her husband, jazz drummer and percussionist Steve Moretti; and with the newly formed Ehnes Quartet. She serves as a Concertmaster at the Grand Teton Music Festival with Music Director Donald Runnicles. In 2011, her debut solo CD Kaleidoscope (SRM Classical/Sono Luminus) was released internationally. Ms. Moretti has been Director of the McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University in Georgia since its inception in 2007. She coordinates the Fabian Concert Series and holds the Caroline Paul King chair of violin. In Italy, she is Education Coordinator of the Rome Chamber Music Festival. Formerly Concertmaster of the Oregon Symphony and The Florida Orchestra, she has also been guest concertmaster with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the New York Pops as well as Concertmaster of CityMusic Cleveland chamber orchestra. Her advocacy to encourage involvement of young musicians in chamber music was instrumental in the establishment of Portland Summer Ensembles in Oregon and Bay Area Music Summer Chamber Music Workshop in Florida.
