2013 Summer Festival
This summer, SCMS is pleased to invite you to join us for TWELVE concerts programmed by Artistic Director, James Ehnes. The Summer Festival runs from June 29-July 26 and features a number of exciting ensembles, including string quartets by Shostakovitch, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Barber, Stravinsky's Rite of Spring (2 piano version), and much more! Each concert is preceded by a FREE 30-minute recital one hour prior to the concert. Download our Ticket Brochure.

Family Concert
Our Summer Festival Family Concert, Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, Festival pianists Jeewon Park and Anton Nel perform with Jack Prelutsky, America’s first Children’s Poet Laureate, reading his own humorous verses inspired by Saint- Saëns' musical portrayals of kangaroos, elephants, and much more! This is a playful way to introduce children ages 5-10 to classical music. FREE PRE-CONCERT ACTIVITY! Musical instrument “petting zoo” in the lobby at 10:00 am, courtesy of Music Center of the Northwest.
