Join KUOW public radio host and producer Dave Beck and acclaimed children's book author Carole Lexa Schaefer for a delightful look at the influences on Antonín Dvorák's music. Seattle's own Klassikon String Quartet will perform works that capture Dvorák's inspiration from nature, native cultures, and the Midwestern landscape, composed during his time in America, with illustrations from Schaefer's charming book Two Scarlet Songbirds. This 45-minute multimedia concert is filled with art, music, and literature and is sure to delight all audience members! Ideal for children ages 5-10.
