has performed with the Boston Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the orchestras of Baltimore, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Nashville, Oregon, Rochester, San Francisco, Seattle, and Utah, among others. His 2005 debut with the Seattle Symphony was selected by both the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as the best debut of the year and he is now a frequent guest with the orchestra, appearing most recently in November 2008 performing the Beethoven Violin Concerto. Abroad, Mr. Jackiw has appeared with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, l'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Seoul Philarmonic and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. Born to physicist parents in 1985, Mr. Jackiw began playing the violin at the age of 4. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, as well as an Artist Diploma from the New England Conservatory. In 2002, he was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
