One Door Closes, Another Door Opens
Next summer our annual Summer Festival in Seattle will be moving to a new home: Benaroya Hall's Nordstrom Recital Hall -- a prestigious hall worthy of our internationally acclaimed musicians. This convenient venue, in the heart of downtown Seattle, is renowned for its stellar acoustics.
Seattle Chamber Music Society is leaving our home at Lakeside School because Lakeside is expanding its summer school program and will no longer be able to accommodate our four-week Summer Festival each July.
The 2010 Summer Festival in Seattle will feature the SAME superb musicians and exceptional chamber music programs as always plus:
Pre-concert picnic and dining in the lovely and tranquil Garden of Remembrance on the west side of Benaroya Hall, on Second Avenue
Box dinners and beverage service from Wolfgang Puck
Music Under the Stars outdoor broadcasts in the Garden of Remembrance
Many restaurants nearby for additional dining options
Easy access via Metro bus and Sound Transit light rail
Affordable parking
A fully ADA accessible building
An air-conditioned auditorium
Excellent sightlines from 540 comfortable seats
Convenient and ample restrooms
Benaroya Hall is "the best sounding hall in the area. Its a huge draw for a musician to know the concerts will take place in the premiere venue in the city!"
--James Ehnes, Associate Artistic Director
Please join us at our new venue NEXT summer at Benaroya Hall, July 5-30, 2010, for our Summer Festival in the City.
